Frequently Asked Questions
No. In California we have Direct Access to physical therapy. This means you can legally be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist for up to 12 visits or 45 calendar days (whichever comes first) without needing a doctor's referral or prescription. This allows us to start your healing journey immediately without the delay of waiting for a physician's appointment.
Note: If your care extends beyond this period, or if we are focusing entirely on health optimization and wellness services rather than a medical diagnosis, we can discuss the next steps to keep your momentum going.
What does "cash-based" mean? Can I use my insurance?
"Cash-based" simply means I do not contract directly with insurance companies. This model allows for complete transparency, longer one-on-one sessions, and a truly customized plan of care on a timeline that makes sense for your unique healing journey.
While I do not process insurance claims directly, many clients use out-of-network benefits. Upon request, I can provide you with a Superbill (an itemized medical receipt) that you can submit to your PPO insurance for potential reimbursement.
What areas of Los Angeles and surrounding regions do you serve?
I bring mobile physical therapy and wellness services directly to your door, primarily serving clients within a 30 mile radius of my home base in West Covina. This includes the San Gabriel Valley, parts of the Inland Empire, Orange County, and the greater Los Angeles area. (e.g. Walnut, Glendora, Pasadena, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills.)
If you live outside of this primary radius, please don't hesitate to reach out! Travel beyond this area can be arranged with an additional travel fee or we explore virtual wellness consultations.
What is mobile physical therapy?
Mobile care means premium, personalized therapy that fits seamlessly into your busy life. This is why your treatment takes place entirely in the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. No traffic, no crowded waiting rooms, and no rushed appointments. This model gives you 100% of my undivided attention, allowing us to evaluate and treat you in your actual living environment—where real movement and life happen.
What can I expect during a specialized women's health session?
Women's bodies goes through remarkable transitions, and your care should be just as dynamic. Whether you are navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, cyclical hormonal changes, or the gradual shifts of perimenopause and beyond, these seasons deeply impact your entire physical system. That is why a truly holistic approach looks at how your whole body is responding to your unique life journey. Every session is a collaborative, safe, and comfortable experience tailored entirely to your needs. Together, we will work to restore stability, eliminate discomfort, and help you feel fully at home in your body.
Do I need a doctor's referral to start treatment?
I don't have a major injury or a (known) pelvic floor issue -- is this service still right for me?
Absolutely. Exceptional bodywork and physical care shouldn't be reserved only for moments of crisis or injury. If you simply feel "off" or you want to be proactive about your health, let's schedule a visit. Whether you are looking to build a resilient foundation, optimize your movement, or ensure your body is living as efficiently as possible, we look at your whole physical system to help you live, work, and exercise with absolute vitality.
